And what makes you think that the imperial federal government is going to voluntarily cease to regulate something that it has been regulating for years? My personal opinion as to whether we NEED NRC or EPA regulation isn't relevant.

Dear Barbara and Jim:
There is no regulatory void to fill. Materials programs were meant to be state functions in the Atomic Energy Act. The states are doing fine regulating NARM---do you think we need NRC or EPA for this?
