Re: Media bias



An interesting point about the statement that reporters are not "supposed to determine the truth" but just quote people correctly, is that this principle is not applied uniformly across all news items.  When Alan Greenspan says lowering interest rates will help the economy, opponents to that view are generally not sought out (some media, like NPR, are beginning to in this case, but the economy had to get pretty bad before they did).  I do not see any opposing views to the current flap that everybody is too fat ("epidemic of obesity").
