RE: kinetics toolbox

Hello:

The Berkeley Madonna software package is available at

http://www.berkeleymadonna.com. Among other things, it numerically solves

systems of linear differential equations, including stiff systems. I used

it a while back to calculate a number excretion and retention curves based

on the old ICRP 30 methodology.

Berkeley Madonna is attractive because there is a freeware version, the

syntax is very simple compared to Mathematica, and a full license only

costs about $300. On the downside, it appears that Berkeley Madonna does

not use extended precision. At worst, it is a great tool for teaching

kinetics.

regards
