Re: scams and spams

All one has to do to get a complete list of the listmembers is send an
email to <majordomo@list.vanderbilt.edu> with a single line in the
message body (subject line is irrelevant) "who radsafe" or "who listname"
where listname is the name of the list on that server one asks about.
One does not have to be a listmember to do that (I am almost - 95% - sure
of the latter).
It has been so with mailing lists since they exist.
I hope I don't start an outcry of the kind "let's hide the list",
it will do no good (the spammers have all the addresses long ago
while people who may be wanting to get the list for decent reasons
will not be able to). BTW, there is also an option to hide one's name from
the list on a per subscriber basis.
Also BTW, all this is described in the greeting message one gets when
subscribiing to Radsafe... or obtainable with a help message to majordomo.
