Vet Radiology and Nuclear Medicine ALARA levels

Hi!

We've been looking into doses that individuals associated with the vet

radiology and vet nuclear medicine programs receive somewhat

routinely. Although theses doses are well below the regulatory limits,

they do sometimes approach and slightly exceed our University ALARA

investigation levels. Our ALARA investigation levels are set for the

entire campus, thus the same level is used for these groups as for the

people using radioactive material in a research lab. We are wondering what

levels other institutions are using for individuals associated with these

types of programs and if those levels are the same for individuals doing

routine research type tasks in labs. Any input would be greatly

appreciated. Please respond back to me directly, unless you feel that the

rest of the group would be interested. Thanks!

Lorna
