Health Physicist
Exelon Nuclear, the nation's largest operator of nuclear generating
facilities, is currently looking for individuals interested in becoming a
Health Physicist at our Limerick Generating Station, located in Pottstown,
PA. In this position, the successful candidate will be responsible for
maintaining the radiation protection portable and fixed instrumentation in
an operable and ready status through ensuring proper calibrations and
surveillances are performed to meet all state, federal, and company
regulations. This is a full time permanent position. Relocation has been
approved.
To qualify, individuals must have:
High school degree required
Minimum of 5 years of nuclear power plant experience with at least 3 years
in radiation protection.
Ability to gain/maintain nuclear unescorted access.
Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills.
Must live or move within range to be an active participant of the site
Emergency Plan.
Preferred:
Bachelor's degree in engineering, physics or related technical degree.

Manager, Radiological Engineering
Exelon Nuclear, the nation's largest operator of nuclear generating
facilities, is currently looking for individuals interested in becoming a
Manager, Radiological Engineering at our Limerick Generating Station,
located in Pottstown, PA. In this position, the successful candidate will
be responsible for the implementation of the Station ALARA Program. This
position ensures that occupational exposure is kept ALARA, advises
management on pertinent regulatory requirements, and addresses radiological
safety issues. This position ensures that the requirements of NRC, PADEP,
INPO, ANI and other federal and state agencies having jurisdiction over
radiation protection are met. This is a full time permanent position.
Relocation has been approved.
To qualify, individuals must have:
Bachelor's degree in Health Physics, Radiological Engineering, Science, or
Engineering.
Eight years of professional experience in applied Radiation Protection work.
At least four years of this experience must be at an operating nuclear power
plant.
Two years of supervisory or lead experience
Ability to gain/maintain nuclear unescorted access.
Obtain and maintain station emergency response organization qualification.
