Frankly it's more the Education Via the Boob Tube problem.
Many responders have NO formal RAD training, what RAD they do have may have
come out of the cold war era, many are only equipped with the CDV-700 series
instrumentation that as designed for use in a post atomic detonation
environment. Therefore they don't have anymore real knowledge than your average citizen.
You have all discussed the shortfalls in the education of the public,
responders are at best a notch above on a global scale.
I consider myself to be fairly well educated in this area as far as
responders go and I am woefully ignorant.
