The following two position announcements sent at the request of John

HEALTH PHYSICIST 4 TEAM LEADERS- (Multiple Openings- -Reference #

04-040, based in Cincinnati, Ohio) Oak Ridge Associated Universities is

seeking multiple HP Team Leaders in its Dose Reconstruction Project to

plan, organize and lead teams to investigate radiation dose records at

Department of Energy  and Atomic Weapon Employer (AWE) sites.

Requirements include an M.S. in Health Physics or related discipline and

6-10 years of job related experience or an equivalent combination of

education and experience. CHP preferred. Other requirements include

extensive health physics/radiation dose knowledge and experience;

experience working in medical health physics, particularly dose

calculations for diagnostic radiology; experience working at DOE

facilities or nuclear sites; technical team leadership skills and

experience; and interpersonal, training development and delivery and

problem-solving skills. May need to be able to obtain and maintain a

Department of Energy security clearance. For more information on the

HEALTH PHYSICIST 3  (Reference Number 04-057, located in Oak Ridge,

TN)): The

Environmental Survey and Site Assessment Program of the Oak Ridge

Institute for Science and Education, operated by Oak Ridge associated

Universities under contract with the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) is

seeking a Health Physicist 3 to provide professional health physics

technical support to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), DOE and

other clients; and to serve as an instructor and coordinator of health

physics courses. Requirements include: MS degree or other graduate

degree in HP, Nuclear Physics, Medical Physics (or equivalent) and four

to six years of job related experience. CHP or equivalent certifying

body desired. Must be able to apply rad protection practices to new

situations and possess strong verbal & written communication skills.

Experience and demonstrated capabilities necessary in a wide range of HP

and/or medical physics issues, including dose assessments,

instrumentation, radiological surveys and assessments, report

preparation, and project/course design and implementation. Must be a

self-starter and possess leadership abilities. Travel required. To
