While genareally I agree with this statement it must be noted that Dr, Dtabin and several others here EARNED thier PhDs hance they earned thier salarires. Of course one need not earn a PhD to make a decent wage nor should one. Skilled technicians deserve a living wage and in the US if you are talking about a family 40K is barely that.
