I have to agree with this one.  Money doesn't buy happiness but it can

remove a lot of the obstacles.  



Not withstanding that, free market pressures do tend to correct these

situations (for good or for bad as far a HP salaries are concerned).

The "need" is determined by whom ever is flipping the bill.  If you

think the need is determined by the professional himself, your kidding

yourself.  The professional is only campaigning to convince the

employers of a need.  After all, if the need for a service was

determined by the people that supply that service, we would still have

people delivering ice to your house.

This would be much more credible if stated by someone with a < $40K job!

I've found that most of the "money is not important" statements come

from those who already have enough.
