I must note that any institution (including hospitals and universities)

that uses government money for research involving humans is required to

have it reviewed by an Institutional Review Board. I serve on the Oak

Ridge Site IRB as a community representative, and we review research

plans for everything from surveys to medical experiments. Our major

concern is protection of the human subjects, including their health,

privacy, and other implications of their participating in the study

under consideration. While this is not a "peer" review as such, we also

take a critical look at whether a study is likely to give useful and

valid information, i.e., is it scientifically planned.

I wonder if TFP's work has been subject to IRB review.
