re: Making it real

With respect to Nuclear Power Plants,

the issue is not "Is LNT" appropriate to use.

Recalling something I saw in HP Newsletter:

It's not the risk, it's not the result  . . .

It's the  cause-result combination.

1. Risk of cancer from too much sun, smoking, certain

useful chemicals ( bug spray . . .) is OK, sort of . . .

2. Risk of cancer from Nuclear Power or exposure to radiation / RAM

is totally unacceptable, regardless of how little the risk is when compared

to the risk from items in 1, above . . .

It's a    risk  - "perceived" benefit     relationship . . .

The benifits of nuclear power is low on the 'perception' list cause

we're not heavily reliant on it.

The benifits of radiation exposure is real low . . .

Joe Sixpack & Mary Kitchen really don't think of medical x-rays

as "radiation" - after all, it is just an "x-ray" . .

 back to selling TLD stuff  {  shameless plug  :-)   }
