I-131 Industrial Tracer

I know of only one source of I-131 industrial tracer for use in the

oilfields in the US in end-user small quantities (20 or so mCi per order).



Can any of you radiopharmacy folks speak to the regulatory issues for a

licensed industrial user to obtain same from a nuclear pharmacy?   I talked

to a couple of nuclear pharmacies here in Kentucky last week, and they

seemed concerned as to whether they could not sell to an industrial user.
