PET study for 30 wk pregnancy

I have just received a call from one of our Nuc Med docs who wants to know

what the fetal dose would be for an 8 - 15 mCi FDG study performed on a

woman 30 weeks along in her pregnancy. If someone could point me to an

article/web site I would appreciate it. Or if you have already been through

this and have performed the calcs and don't mind sharing them with me that

would be great too. I have come across numbers for a 3 week fetus listing

the dose as 7 mGy/400 MBq. However, I would think that a 30 week old fetus

would uptake more F-18 due to an increase of glucose utilization and thus

increase the fetal dose.

Thanks in advance.
