Re: DAC for plutonium 239
It depends on the chemical form of the Pu.
7 pCi/M3 = 7 E-12 uCi/ml.
The 10 CFR 20, Appendix B values are:
Pu-239W = 3 E-12 uCi/ml
Pu-239Y = 7 E-12 uCi/ml
Pu-239W includes all compounds of Pu except PuOI2. Pu-239Y is PuOI2. If
you don't know the chemical form, it's a good practice to assume the one
with the lower DAC value.
