RE: Shipping Regulations Effective Today
Be careful about using the DOT provision for early voluntary compliance
starting 2/25/04. The NRC final rule does not include a provision for such
early voluntary compliance. For example if you used the new definition of
"fissile exempt material" you would be in compliance with DOT but not NRC
until the full effective date of Oct 1, 2004.
