Subject: Hot Lab doors

Any of you guys out there working in Nuc Med? If so what is your hospital's

policy on having the door locked when someone is not physically ion the room

for security measures. Our RSO has been stressing out over this and wants

that door locked even if I am staring at it.

If your doors are locked how are you accessing them? Does any one have info

supporting the card/badge type locks to see who was the last 1-30 people in

the Hot Lab if there is a source missing. If I have to keep it locked per

NRC reg I would like to use this style of lock as keys are cumbersome while

holding a dose tray with istopes on it.
