Health Physics Technician I





Job Description:

Health Physics Technician under limited supervision. Assist Radiation Safety

Office staff in radiation/contamination surveys to determine if unsafe

conditions exist, counting station operation, radiac inventory control,

calibration, needs assessment, and procurement. Also assist with Radiation

Use Permit review, authoring, and audits. Provide Radiation Protection

support to engineering staff. Assist with radiation source shipping and

receiving support surveys and paperwork. 





Education:

High School Diploma plus 4 years experience in nuclear power or radiation

safety. 





Required Skills:

Ability to use radiation detection equipment. Strong written and verbal

skills. Mathematical skills thru pre-calculas. Microsoft Office suite

experience. 





Desired Skills:

Desired skills equivalent to Navy Nuclear Power Training Program.
