Professional Advice

Dear Radsafers,

First, I like to say that I enjoy this site and have had some good advice in the past.

Let me tell you a little about myself. I have over 13 years experience as a RPT/HPT/RCT. I have worked at four different Nuclear power plants and 3 DOE sites 1 DOD site. Experience ranges from operational (power plants) to enviormental remediation with some D&D. I will be graduating from Excelsior college on March 19th with a BST specialty in Nuclear Technologies. I am a current member of the NRRPT. I am currently working at ORNL as a member of the RADCON alliance. I like the area and wish to stay here. My current family situation precludes me from traveling.

Question: Where should I go from here to increase my marketabilty and income? I would like to become a CHP but currently I am excluded due to a lack of PROFESSIONAL experience. Should I persue a masters degree? If so, in what area ie (MBA, MS etc.)? Are there other certifications that I am not aware of and could qualify for?

Any and all responses will be greatly appreciated.
