Screening Techniques: Goiania

Dear Radsafers:



During a planning session for a Los Angeles County medical response to an 

RDD event, a participant asked the details of how residents of Goiania were 

screened for Cs-137 contamination (i.e., what types of radiation detectors 

were used).  In addition, he asked what the contamination thresholds were 

that led to Prussian blue use.  I would be most grateful for details on 

these two questions.
