RE: Record Retention Requirement

Greetings:

A requirement to retain radiation protection program-related records for 75 y is also contained in Section 7.1 of ANSI/HPS N13.6-1999, "Practice for Occupational Radiation Exposure Records Systems".

This standard may be accessed by Health Physics Society members in the Standards area of the Members Only section of the Society's web site at http://www.hps.org/

Subject: Record Retention Requirement

I am writing an SOP where I reference that hard copies of analytical results must be retained for 75 years.

Does anyone know a specific regulatory citation for this requirement?

I thought it was part of the NQA or NRC requirements.
