Effect of alpha emitters of canine longevity

The June issue of "Health Physics" has a research note entitled: "Does Low

Dose Internal Radiation Increase Lifespan?" by Ray Lloyd, Glenn Taylor and

Scott Miller of the U of Utah Med School.  This work, injecting alpha

emitters into beagles, cited reports indicating that one might expect

increased longevity.  But this report found none.



Some of you are quite familiar with earlier work in this field and might be

interested in the HP report.  I, and perhaps others on this list, would

appreciate hearing opinions or evaluation of this report.
