ICRP now presents a draft text of the 2005 ICRP Recommendations forconsultation.

A next set of fundamental ICRP Recommendations, intended to replace the 1990

Recommendations in ICRP Publication 60 is being prepared, and as many users

of the ICRP web site are aware, this work has been in progress for several

years. We have presented a number of iterations of conceptual ideas for

these Recommendations, and have received much helpful input and many useful

comments on these concepts. Based on those discussions, the Commission now

presents a draft text of the 2005 ICRP Recommendations for consultation.

The consultation period will end 31 December 2004.

In view of the importance of the discussion about this draft, and in

response to requests received, the consultation comments will be posted

publicly at this web site. For practical reasons, this means that comments

on the present document must be submitted through this web site. (Text

prepared in advance can of course be submitted using ’cut and paste’). An

entry form is currently being prepared and will open here soon. You may wish

to bookmark this page for easy future access.
