RE: Static MDC Formula



When I taught "Physics 101" at Hamilton College and at the United States

Military Academy, my first class always included the admonition to check

your units as you worked through problem-solving with equations.



 



The "3" in the numerator has no units. Therefore, the other factor in the

numerator also has no units. Since TB has units of time, CB must have units

of inverse time, in this case, counts per minute.



 



Note that the unit of MDC in your equation is inverse time or activity,

which could be Bq, dpm, or Ci (likely you will use Tb in minutes, so MDC

will be in dpm).
