Candidate will be Shonka Research Associates, Inc. (SRA's) sole on-site representative with support from engineers and scientists in SRA's corporate offices in Marietta, Georgia.  Duties include planning, conducting, organizing and coordinating implementation of thorium measurement systems and applications at a project in the Tulsa, Oklahoma area.  Tulsa area candidates preferred.  Per Diem negotiable for non-local applicants.



The measurement system and support instrumentation is designed and been used on other projects.  However, candidate will identify new monitoring needs and opportunities to share, monitor, and acquire data as well as write operational procedures.  As the Lead Technician, supports the entire monitoring implementation and reporting needs.  Verifies accuracy and evaluates collected data.  Maintains a conveyor monitoring system, issues hand-held instruments to radiation control technicians and creates reports for all data collected.  Obtains and updates radiation data, image processing, and automated reporting techniques.  Prepares graphs, maps, and data reports.  Interacts with project management personnel as to status of measured material.



Specialized Experience:



Candidate must have in addition to the basic requirements outlined above, strong skills in Microsoft Excel spreadsheet usage in or related to planning, conducting, organizing and coordinating implementation of data collected from process control sensors and devices.



Comfortable with hardware maintenance and strong mechanical aptitude required.  Ability to make software modification requests.  Comfortable with on-going database and spreadsheet development.  Familiar with data acquisition processes.



Strong verbal skills to conduct briefings to on-site project management team and land owner.  Strong written ability required for writing detailed weekly reports on data analysis and project objectives.
