Lauriston Sale Taylor 1902-2004

Folks:

 

        I just learned from Nelson  Taylor that his Dad, "Laurie" passed away 

peacefully in his sleep at 2:10  PM EST today, November 26.   Recognized 

throughout the World for the  essential roles he played in the founding of the 

NCRP and the ICRP  and the many years of stewardship he provided in the field of 

radiation  safety, Laurie outlived all of his contemporaries. His  death today 

at 102 brings to a close an era that none of us in health  physics and 

medical physics can ever forget.
