1976 Earthquake Tangshan China 1976 - 255,000 official death toll[Estimated as high as 655,000]



Hi all:

Related to Sandy Perle's news posting about the recent terrible  

earthquake/tsunami in a brief AP news story titled:

"Tsunami toll is huge, but not the deadliest event on record" there is a  

list of earthquakes since 1900 compiled by the USGS which I just reviewed:
