RE: Checked Baggage Screening
Yes. Kodak addresses this on their website. I have seen dose between 100 and 200 mrem, based on location in the checked bag.

Subj: Checked Baggage Screening
Happy New Year!
This last Christmas I traveled across country to spend the holidays with
family. (If you have to spend the night in O'Hare sometime, don't try to
sleep in gate B22. The airport TV is too loud. B18 is better. :^) ) I
had to check a bag through going over and coming back. Each time I
checked in, I was asked if my bag had any film in it. I inquired as to
why, and the baggage screener said the baggage scanner ruined film. I
didn't have film in my bag, so I couldn't check it. Does anyone here
have confirmation with this? Are the checked bag scanners delivering a
higher total dose to the baggage than the carry-on bag scanners? Will
that affect dosimeters in baggage?
Thanks in advance for any advice you can give.
