Hello All,

The University of California, Irvine Medical Center in Southern
California has an immediate job opportunity for an experienced Health
Physicist and is inviting applications from qualified candidates.

Summary:

Under the direction of the Radiation Safety Officer, the Health
Physicist is responsible for assisting with the development, management,
implementation and oversight of the day-to-day operations of the
on-going medical and research radiation protection programs at UCI
Medical Center. This includes; development and implementation of
radiological safety policy and procedures, assuring compliance with all
state and federal regulations concerning the use of radioactive
materials and radiation-producing machines, assisting with the
administration of the Medical Center's license for the use of
radioactive materials, medical and laboratory monitoring and control,
radiological security, emergency planning and response, facility design
and review, and technical support for Radiation Use Authorizations
(RUA's). The Health Physicist provides expert-level radiation safety
support for radiation safety staff, general and specific radiation
safety training, and responds to radiological events. Qualified
candidate serves as Assistant RSO.
