You're not serious of course??

You can just go shooting at anything coming near since all that stuff is
going to come down somewhere.

By time they knew it was headed for the second tower - if they shot it
down it would have still hit somewhere in the city!  If they missed -
whatever they fired at it would have landed somewhere in the city and
the tower would have still been hit.  If they got it earlier - then they
would essentially have been shooting down anything leaving the runway.

Any way you look at it - it's an unworkable situation.
