Short Course in Applied Health Physics @ U of I
To all interested:
A Short Course in Applied Health Physics will be offered at the University of
Illinois at Urbana-Champaign from 6/13 to 6/30/94. The course number is NE 454.
The course is open to persons in all scientific disciplines. This course is a one
hour lecture per day, and 9 labs, including NAA, environmental counting, personnel
monitoring, air sampling, shielding and neutron monitoring. A number of the
labs will be held in the TRIGA II reactor lab, in the NAA lab, and in the
subcritical assembly lab. There may be a short session in the Fusion Inertial
Plasma Confinement lab and/or the Plasma Focus (Pulse) Fusion lab. The course is 2
credit hours, and costs $900 per student.
