Health Physics Challenges at Accelerators
1. In the process of supporting Radiation Protection Program Plans
for DOE facilities, the DOE-OAK Operations Office set up a
Radiological Control Quality Improvement Team. One of the questions
that arose (ignoring for the moment the prescriptiveness of the rule)
was what were the top 6 radiation protection "challenges" at the
various sites providing radsafe support to accelerators. This is
derived from the TQM thought that specific process should be
reviewed where improvements might be attained.
2. I would be interested in hearing from you as to what your
accelerator radiation protection support challenges are (top 6 if you
have such a list).
