re: to badge or not to badge/quarterly vs. monthly TLDS

To whom it may concern:

In the case presented, (Wyoming?) my question would be why badge the individuals at  
all, if, prior badge readings indicate that personnel exposures do not exceed 10  
mrem p/month.  To satisfy those that feel it prudent to badge to avoid hassle  
later, then it would seem to be satisfactory to assign a location monitor.
IDNS regs. state that dosimetry in not required if the individual is not likely to  
exceed ten percent of an annual limit.  If you have data to back this up ie:  
year(s) worth of monitoring results for the location/type of work involved, and you  
are not required by license, then location monitoring should be sufficient.
