ICRM'95 symposium

Dear Radsafers,

Please find hereafter information on the next International Symposium on
Radionuclide Metrology and its Applications.

The International Committee for Radionuclide Metrology (ICRM) is please to
announce that its next biennial conference will be held in Paris, France,
from 15 to 19 May 1995.
The aim of this conference is to provide an opportunity for the exchange of
information on techniques and applications of radionuclide metrology, and to
encourage international co-operation in this field. The previous conference
was held in 1993 at the National Physical Laboratory in Teddington, Great
Britain.

The main topics covered by this conference are :
 - alpha-particle spectrometry,
 - gamma-ray and beta-particle spectrometry,
 - life sciences,
 - low-level measurements,
 - radionuclide metrology techniques (including direct activity
measurements),
 - nuclear decay data (measurements and evaluations).

These topics may include, for example, source preparation techniques,
reference materials and calibration standards, detector development,
liquid-scintillation counting, internal gas counting, surface contamination
monitoring and new methods.

The official conference language is English and the conference proceedings
will be published in a special issue of Nuclear Instrument and Methods in
Physics Research journal.

The deadline for the submission of abstracts is 1 November 1994.
