Re: Disclaimers

A point to keep in mind is the difference between space on your
terminal screen and the number of bytes it takes to fill that space.
Twenty carriage returns will produce a blank screen, but need only take
twenty or so bytes to transmit. Some disclaimers may look long, but in
reality only take up a small amount of bandwidth on the network. E.g.,
a 100 word disclaimer, suuficient to disavow about everthing, would only
take 1 kbyte or less.

Since disclaimers come at the end of messages, they are easy enough to
ignore. The real thief of both my time and network bandwidth is including
the whole of a previous message in a reply.
