The reference to detector cells is for sealed sources used as electron capture detectors in gas chromatographs. Typically a few millicuries of Ni-65 is used as the source. It irradiates the gas-path and the detector is used mainly for chlorinated compounds as I remember. Hope this is some help. Michael Kay
