The National Technical Information Service is happy to announce a
number of new services available from the FedWorld Information Network:
NRC-BBS:
The Nuclear Regulatory Commission BBS is a new "subsystem" of FedWorld.
The NRC BBS is a full fledged system that includes information about
and electronic submission of comments about proposed NRC rules (the
first rule available is the Decommissioning Rule). More rules are
expected to appear as they are announced in the Federal Register. Also
available from the NRC BBS are subsections about the NRC Enforcement
Program, and Public Petitions. More subsections are expected to be developed
in the near future.
The NRC BBS is accessible a number of ways:
Computer and modem:
dial (703)321-8020: Select option O, Subsystems/Databases.
dial (800)303-9672: Toll free access to the NRC BBS (!) Eight lines.
Internet:
telnet fedworld.gov (192.239.92.3): Select option O, subsystems and
databases.
ftp to ftp.fedworld.gov (192.239.92.205): Files in the various NRC
Libraries of files (all NRC files are in the /nrc directory) are
available from directories with same name as the FedWorld Library.
