activated carbon is a good adsorber. the process is dynamic absorption ie
the xe is held back or delayed for a certain # of days on the bed. cooling
the carbon bed will improve the capacity.
another method is cryogenic distilation.
can be other methids depending on the other constituents in the gas.
most of this information is available in the literature on radioactive
gaseous waste processing.
