More on "Radium Ice"

Okay, I have a little more information on the "Radium Ice" post.
It seems that a patient at another institution remembers being
told that they had undergone "Radium Ice" treatments at a Chicago
area hospital to remove a "port wine birthmark".  This happened 
when the patient was an infant, about thirty years ago.  Does
anyone know anything what ever about whether radiation treatments
were used for this purpose?  A slip of paper was transmitted to
me with a hand written notation of 8 x 4 "unit" treatments over
a two week period.  It is also noted that it was for a total of 32
units of Radium trreatment.  Any wisdom out there?
