Chuck,

I remember hearing about the criminal suits, but never heard the
outcome.  What was the resolution?

Hi Dale,

Just prior to my arriving at USC, a settlement was reached with the 
City of Los Angeles.  Sorry, but I don't know the specifics of the 
settlement.

I am happy to announce that the program has risen from the ashes 
and is doing very well.  It took a lot of hard work on all involved, 
faculty, administration and HP staff.  Maintaining a sound Radiation 
Safety Program requires far less energy (and $$$) than having to 
build it up after years of neglect.

We have learned this lesson the hard way.  I hope others are 
listening.
