Re: S-35 in urine, liq. scnit sample

One thing that we used to do on our older LSC's when we suspected
luminescence was to crank the LLD up until we cut the tritium
efficiency by a quarter to a half. This excluded all of the
luminescence, but kept decent efficiency for all of the
radioisotopes. We now have a machine with spectral capabilities
and luminescence detection via monitoring the singles rates in
each photomultiplier. We know from the singles random coincidence
monitoring when we need to look at a spectrum to determine
if there is any activity in the sample.
