Chemiluminescence



DuPont NEN LSC Application Note #3, possibly somewhat dated, states that "[t]he
consensus is that chemiluminescence is the result of a free radical reaction.
Therefore, any thing that terminates this reaction will stop the chemi-
luminescence.  For example, heating strongly chemiluminescent samples will 
accelerate the completion of the reaction, whereas colling may only prolong it"
npleasant.
