Ra Gamma Ray constant
Since there seem to be several people from NIST on this forum - it seems a
good place to ask this question.
We need to refine some calculations for our NBS calibrated Ra 226 source.
The NBS certificate declares it equivalent to 901.8 milligrams of Ra in a
0.27mm tube of Thuringian glass.
What did NBS consider the gamma factor for that source to be in 1947??
There are LOTS of references to Ra in Pt - but few to Thuringian glass.
Thanks
