Squamous Cell Cancer

     RADSAFErs,
     
     Here is a question for you medical physics type from a Nuke Plant 
     worker I couldn't answer:
     
     What type of of radiaion therapy is used for sub-surface squamous cell 
     cancer.  Specifically, in the neck region.  The cancer was found in a 
     small tumor (golf ball size) next to the carotid artery. 
     
     Can you help?
