The National Low-Level Waste Management Program sponsored by DOE mantains the
Manifest Information Management System (MIMS). This is a database of
information taken from actual manifests received a commercial disposal sites
from 1986-present. LLW waste disposal information can be obtaned including
state and compact region volumes and activities, generator types, disposal
facilities where the wastes are disposed of, and monthly and annual totals. If
you are interested in the types of information avaliable, The National Program
publishes annually a stat by state assessment report of all wates recieved at
commercial disposal facilities. A copy of this report is available on the
internet at the following address:
http://www.inel.gov/.state_by_state/sbs-toc.html
Outside users can be granted permanent access to the MIMS system if they have
a definitive need. In addition, for quick access to the system the National
Program can generate a number of different reports and mail or fax them to
indiviudals. Further info can be obtained by contacting me at muw@inel.gov.
