Some things to consider..
What isotopes and in what form? I would suggest stainless steel
surfaces for ease of decontamination.
If iodine is involved you may want to consider a charcoal filter in
a location that is easy to monitor and replace. The installation of
monitoring ports is another consideration.
The hoods sometimes have small "cup" style drains in them.. Be sensitive
to their potential use as source of release to your sanitary sewer.
