G'day mate,

This is just a guess, but the diagnosis mught have been Grovers
disease. Technically, its a transient acantholytic dermatitis i.e. a
skin eruption lasting a few weeks to months primarily on the upper
body of men over 40. Couldn't find any suggestion that it was related
to radiation however.
