Re: Thoriated Welding Rods



The best information I found for Thorium welding rods is in 
NUREG/CR-1775, "Environmental Assessment of Consumer Products 
Containing Radioactive Material". Also, try  
McDowell-Boyer(1979) "Estimating Radiation Doses from Thorium and 
Duaghters Contained in Thoriated Welding Electrodes", 
ORNL/NUREG/CR-1039, which is THE work on Th-welding rods that I 
have found.
