49 cfr and 10CFR part 71

I would suggest that anyone interested in this topic can contact Trobb.com
the e-mail address is Paul.Smith@trobb.com , Mr. Smith's e-mail system will
allow you to down load the new regulations from 10CFR part 71.

The greatest change of all-- for those of you who have never shipped using
IAEA regs or IATA regs, will be the changes in the A1 and A2 values.

For those of you that ship P-32 I feel sorry for you.
The new limit for A2 P-32 is 8.11 Ci. which means the
Radioactive Material, Excepted Package-Limited Quantity of Material
UN2910 limit for liquid P-32 is going to be 811 uCi.

There are some good changes as well i.e.- H-3 A2 value is now 1000 Ci.

I suggest anyone planning to ship Radioactive Material take a close look
at the new regs when they come out in the Federal Register.
