You may have seen this before, but the contact listed below
(Terry Devine) may be able to help you find a source, and you'll
have to take care of the licensing!
The Conference of Radiation Control Program Directors (CRCPD) has
published lists of parties looking for radioactive materials to
recycle/reuse. An excerpt from a recent list follows:
"Manufacturers are showing increasing interest in obtaining
radioactive materials for refurbishing or recycling, particularly
the items listed below... Please provide, by fax, brief
identifications of unwanted devices or materials with the name
and telephone number of a contact person that (Terry Devine) may
pass on to reputable recycling firms. Interest includes (but is
not limited to) the following:
H-3 >1 Ci Co-60 >1 Ci
Sr-90>1 Ci Cs-137 >1 Ci, 1-50 mCi
Ra-226>10 mg Th nat refined
Cf-252 Th metal alloy
Am-241>1 Ci sources Am-241 n sources
Am-241 foil removed from smoke detectors
Others not listed here "
